Tequila Sunrise/Digital Art/Big Goals!!

Oh My Goodness Artsy Peeps!! What a roller coaster ride. It took me almost 2 years to complete a single 11×14 acrylic painting. Which I will be posting an article very soon about it. Long story short, after taking a management position at my job,(beginning of 2021) it has been a huge challenge for me to become a full-time artist. Since I moved to Jacksonville(2019), I’ve been having to work full-time to keep a roof over my head. However, I’ve been tagging along for any chance I have to pursue my dreams! After finally finishing my painting, I decided to go to the drawing board. What can I do as an artist to get myself out of a 9 to 5 corporates job? Or at least go part time. Right now, making a painting is great and I’m passionate about it but can take a serious amount of time. That’s when my partner suggested Red Bubble or making t-shirt designs. I thought this would be a great idea. It gives me the chance to practice digital art and also being able to create inventory a lot quicker. The only issue I have is that my mind is still in paint mode and not illustration mode. What I mean by this is after creating my tequila sunrise digital art(which took about a week 🙂 yay!) It’s very detailed in color. With creating stickers and t-shirts, you have to think simple color palette. This is something I’m still working on. My goal is to get an inventory going first and then post on either Red Bubble or other print on demand websites. For now, enjoy my art and I’ll keep you artsy peeps posted!!
