I Tried Red Bean Milk Tea For The First Time

Oh My Goodness!! Yes it’s true. I am a big tea drinker of all sorts and have never tried the red bean milk tea before. I usually get ginger or herbal tea with lots of Boba when I go, but lately, I’ve been trying to do more acts of self love for myself. Like trying to get in the habit of making my bed everyday, or putting oils in my diffuser each morning so the bathroom smells nice throughout the day. One act of self love that I’ve been doing is writing a list of all the adventures (big or small) that I want to try in my new hometown Jacksonville Fl. Most of it is going to certain events here in Jacksonville or trying different eateries I’ve never tried before. Lately, I’ve been more of a home bound person. This is a way for me to be more in the Alice In Wonderland vibe that I’ve been craving for so long. Trying new things in a way is kind of sublime to me. Especially coming from the curiosity stand point.

One thing on my list was to try red bean milk at one of my favorite places Kung Fu Tea . Was I scared, no not at all. I was excited to try it whether I liked it or not.  The milk was plain with lots of boba and red bean. The red bean itself was quite sweet. Like they soaked the red bean in simple syrup. I might have to google it on how they make it so nobody chew my head off here please haha. Because for one, I have no clue but definitely would like to learn how to make it from home. Over all, it was quite interesting.  It actually kind of works in a weird way.  I think just getting a softer flavor milk instead of getting potent ginger or oolong which tends to have stronger flavors is ideal. Let the bean speak for itself haha. But I’m definitely open for suggestions if anybody has a flavor combination they would recommend!! Would I get this again? Sure! But we tend to have our favorites so it would be something I wouldn’t get all the time. I tried it, I liked it, but not a favorite. Next thing to try on the menu would be a milk cap which is like a salty milk foam on the top of the drink.
